Mac OS X 10.5.6 Pwns Pwnage Tool

Well, well, it looks like Apple is striking back. The Mac OS update will disable the Pwnage Tool which will make it impossible for you to jailbreak the iPhone or iPod touch.

Mac OS X 10.5.6 was just releases and one of its functions, no matter if it’s intentional or not is to stop your Mac from recognizing the device in DFU (device firmware update) mode. What you can do is copy some of the 10.5.5 framework files over the new ones or wait for the iPhone Dev Team to find another way around it. You can always jailbreak your phone on a PC.
