Lumus to Strut LOE Video Eyeglasses at CES

The new ultra-thin, see-through video eyeglasses developed by Lumus give new meaning to the expression, “so close yet so far”. Powered by the patented Light-guide Optical Element (LOE) technology, it projects images from your portable devices similar to the effect of watching a 60” screen from a distance of 10 feet.
“We're seeing some potentially killer applications being offered through portable devices, such as mobile TV, computing and gaming, offering a new dimension in location shifting. However, without a large enough screen that’s portable, discreet and unobtrusive, these applications are impractical for most mainstream consumers. By allowing users to see through and see beyond, we are taking vision to the ultimate level by redefining what can be viewed on the go,” said Ari Grobman, Business Development Manager at Lumus, in a press release.
This geeky eyeglasses is transparent so you won’t bump into any moving objects while you enjoy watching sleazy movies. Although the design has improved dramatically from its previous prototype, perhaps the Lumus team should strive harder to make it more stylish.
