Peter Sisson, CEO and founder of Toktumi (pronounced talk-to-me) said that:

The approval by Apple of Line2 for the iPod Touch and iPad is a monumental announcement from Toktumi. The application now gives iPod Touch and iPad users all of the functionality of the iPhone. This is by far the most comprehensive VoIP app on the iPod to date, with visual voicemail, conferencing, call waiting, call transfer – basically everything you can do with an iPhone – but all using Wi-Fi so you don’t need to pay for cell service at all.

You should be able to get Line2 for a download of $0.99 and 30 days of free service. It costs about $14.95 a month for unlimited calling in the United States and Canada.
