The Versa from LG has finally received a launch date. It will be available in Verizon stores starting with March 1. It will bring you a full touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard conveniently included in that cover. The cover comes with its own OLED display which should be very useful when the Versa is hidden in the closed cover.
Other features include EV-DO Rev. A connectivity, tethering, a 2 megapixel camera with face detection and video recording, GPS and microSD support.
The LG Versa will cost $249.99 after $50 mail-in rebate and only with a contract.

I see a lot of similarities between the LG Versa and an iPhone, but I must say I love the idea behind a detachable QWERTY keyboard. My current Verizon Wireless phone has a QWERTY keyboard which I have grown to love so it’s something I would look for in another phone. Ironically, the phone I have is also an LG phone so it might be time for a trade-in.
