07 Mar 09 LG Neon Available from Rogers
The phone above is the LG Neon and it’s now available in Canada from Rogers. The phone will be available for around $23 with a contract and after some rebate. Besides the QWERTY keyboard you will get a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen, a 2 megapixel camera, a media player with FM capabilities, microSD expansion, stereo Bluetooth and triband EDGE. Not that impressive, but enough to get your messages through.

This phone sucks. The touch screen is crap. Dont buy it. Look are everything.
i bought this phone yesterday it has been a disapointment the touch screen is slow and it straches soo easy its really pretty but honstly it sucks

good phone. lacks in a lot of ways. Had a Nokia Xpress music 5310 and it was, overall, a better phone. It’s good for messaging. However, if you don’t really care about texting and chatting this phone is a waste of money. There isn’t a lot to it. Keep in mind, if you are choosing between this and the Propel (on Rogers) that this phone has a better camera 2mps while the Propel has only a 1.3 mps camera. That’s the only real difference. oh and screen size
I got this phone and now after just 10 days it is broken and I am going to have to take it back!
I never even dropped it or anything, the phone itself is malfunctioning. I get no service on it (there is nothing wrong with my account) and it wont even turn off!
can anyone tell me why I cannot open my music that I dowloaded from the external memory? It will not show on my phone
How much coding would it take to add touch features for the icons and moving the text cursor? MINIMAL! In fact, I bet it was just disabled.
Also they crippled the MicroSD so that you are REQUIRED to have your video and audio files in particular directories to see them. What a PITA!
Minor annoyance is no dictionary. Doesn’t come with headset (proprietary jack) and thus no radio since it need it for an antenna. Haven’t figured out how to backup the phone’s memory yet if it can even be done. Also doesn’t come with a data cable.

If you don’t mind the fact that you are paying for stuff you aren’t getting, it appears to be a good phone. Had it for a week now. People can’t hear me so well on the speaker phone. Minimal manual. Haven’t tried web access but I bet no touch screen on that either.
I like the weight (light), the keyboard and battery life is better then the Nokia 6555 I had before.
One thing I *REALLY* like about the phone is that I can return it. Oh wait, that isn’t part of the phone!!

worst phone ive ever had (i had the original razor before this….yea) . calls get suspended about 75% of the time, people can hear me but i cant hear them so i gotta tell them to hold on a minute until it works… you can say anything about specs or whatever, but the bottomline is its a phone first, and if it cant even function as a phone what good is it? goin back today, peace out
This phone is garbage, apart from looking and feeling like a toy and the plastic case being rather flimsy and very thin, the touch screen only works when dialing the virtual keyboard, it does not work in menus and games. The phone is also very buggy… mine keeps resetting itself and freezing and Rogers says they will only replace it for the exact same phone…. I’ve only had the thing 30 days.
It was free for us and we hate it so much we called back and bought a new phone, Rogers wouldnt even take it back for us to get a discount on the new phone.
I am thinking about this phone and i love the way it has a slide out keyboard and it has a touch screen. Now that i hear it isn’t such a great phone what would be a better phone to choose? (i text a lot) and im not a big fan of the propel. thanks!

I’m thinking of getting this phone because I really like the way it looks and how the dialing is a touch dial. I read all the comments and now I am really skeptical… could someone recommend another phone like this one (good looks and slide out keyboard) that doesn’t have so many errors? I would really appreciate it, thanks a ton.

great phone overall lots of good games u can even play sims 2 but the touch screeen is really only for dialing numbers others wise u cant use it
I got the phone a couple months ago. I personally like it. It’s good for messaging although sometimes it can be pretty slow.

DO NOT buy this phone. My phone is 4 months old & it’s just unreliable. It randomly decides to shut itself off for no apparent reason. I’ve set the alarm to go off for appointments,work etc. and a few times now the alarm just plain did not go off. The messaging isnt that great either..the keyboard does not include every symbol on the keyboard so if you want to say,include a happy face or the like you have to go into attachments to do so. Don’t waste your money.
