Sprint and LG have announced that the “old-school” LG Lotus and LG Rumour cellphones have been upgraded, and starting on January 10th they will be sold with a couple of new features but most importantly they will feature a touchscreen – something that didn’t exist in the past version.

The LG Lotus Elite will be available in red starting on January 10th, and it will cost approximately $100 with a 2-year contract plus a $50 mail-in rebate. If you want a black version of the LG Lotus Elite you’ll have to wait until the 14th of February.

On the other hand, the LG Rumor Touch will become available during the first quarter of 2010 but there is no information about its price.
