30 Sep 08 LG KP500: Yet another touchscreen cellphone?
LG has announced yet another cellphone that has touchscreen as one of the main features. The LG KP500 was announced today and will be officially in the shelves on late October, for an unknown price.
There aren’t many specific details about the new KP500, but we could gather that it will come with a 3-inch touchscreen accompanied by a Stylus, making the usability better and the probability of smudges popping up much smaller, unlike with happens when using the iPhone…
Other details include a QWERTY keyboard located on the screen, a built-in motion sensor, and a 3-megapixel camera.
And for the stylish people there will be 4 different colors: black, brown, silver and gold.

Yes it is quite flexitble to use KP500 regarding many funcitons.

Bought the LG Cookies KP500 yesterday. great anbd easy to use phone. Very simple with basic needs. Only drawback must be no wifi and the handwriting regconition not as good as Nokia or even HTC! otherwise, great value for moneyh at RM899 for the Gold color.

The bottom line is that the KP500 is certainly no iPhone, but if a touchscreen is top of your feature list, it offers a relatively competent experience. There’s an on-screen Qwerty keypad, handwriting recognition and an automatically rotating screen — nothing revolutionary, but more than you get on most pay as you go phones. So i’ve been considering buying the cookie (my current phone is a V3X). I’ve read the GSMArena review and I have a general idea of some of the drawback. However comparing the features with the price I feel it’s quite worth. So I would like your (the users) opinion.
Please tell me what you don’t like about the phone. ( I wouldn’t mind if you also post what you do like about the phone). I’m really tempted to go for it however I’d rather have the opinion of some first-hand users.
