LG KF600: To be Released in Emerging Economy Countries
![]()
Remember the LG KF600 phone? Yup, the one with the InteractPad technology which enables the user to have two screens in one? It seems LG is using it as a vehicle to conquer the emerging economy mobile phone market. While other cell phone companies such as Nokia and Samsung have low-end options available to the rest of the world at large, LG says they cannot compete with those models and have to settle competing in the US$300 mobile phone market (which, if I may say, isn't that expensive for developing countries nowadays due to the USD depreciation).
``What we want now is to reap stable and strong profits by aggressively promoting premium phones in emerging markets where `price' is the sole strategy for a bigger presence,'' said Skott Ahn, CEO of LG's mobile communications unit.
From the sound of that, it seems LG's preparing to increase their reach this 2008. The LG KF600 will be released Southeast Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Mexico. Arriba!
