The LG KD876 handset is one of the phones that will debut in China’s 3G market. This was presented at the CHITEC 2008 and will support TD-SCDMA, a 3G mobile telecommunications standard in China. China Mobile, the major chinese service provider, has launched the 3G service in eight cities including Guangzhou and Beijing. In Shanghai, the carrier will sell the phones in 164 outlets, with the first batch expected to be about 10,000 units.

The KD876 is the first handset to support TD-SCDMA and has a 2.4-inch screen that dominates the phone and works on 900/1800/1900/2100 MHz GSM frequencies. It carries a 3-megapixel camera and a built in digital music player.
