LG enV3 Cell Phone Review–Works Better Than It LooksBy Steve Anderson - 02/26/2010 12:01:43 AM |
Yesterday I brought you a review of the LG enV Touch, a good phone with a nice design, and now I bring you the LG enV3, a great phone with a less than effective design.
It’s funny how these things work, isn’t it?
The LG enV3 is a folder type phone with caller ID, speakerphone, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recorder, conference call capability, E911 compatibility, a phone book with a thousand name and number records’ capacity, mobile email, an internet browser, VCAST, VZ Navigator, a variety of downloadable content types available, a three megapixel camera, alarm clock, calendar, basic calculator, metric and currency converter, stopwatch, and a battery capable of generating five hours and twenty seven minutes of talk time on a single charge.
Five hours and twenty seven minutes? Wow, talk about exact estimates. That may well be one of the strangest specs I’ve seen in some time. But I have to say that I like the LG enV3, because it’s got some terrific utility. There are lots of tools and game demos and whatnot here.
I do have a small problem with the design–that screen on the front is entirely too small to be of much use and it really shouldn’t have been included, as far as I’m concerned. But this is a very small issue and won’t get in the way of enjoying and getting plenty of use out of the LG enV3.
The Good
Excellent utility
Plenty of tools
Nice battery life
The Bad
Unnecessary and largely useless front screen
Score 8 / 10
