LG Banter Available from Alltel

Remember that LG Rumor 2 that Sprint announced it will be available in a few days? Well Alltel has just beaten that offer. Verizon’s little brother has decided to offer its own version of the Rumor 2, but they call it the Banter.
The Banter is the Rumor 2 and it’s up on Alltel’s website. There’s no price yet but we assume Alltel will match Sprint’s offer. So which one would you choose? The Banter or the Rumor 2?

us cellular has this same fone and it is so much better! ive had it for about 2 weeks and it works great! its an amazing fone!

well i have the one from us cellular. ive had the service for 3 weeks with the phone and have already had the phone replaced 2 times. it keeps randomly shutting off on me for no reason.. all three phones now have done the exact same thing.. its pretty gay. cause i really like the phone.. i just wish it would stop shutting off on me..
I took my ever faithful LG Scoop that survived hell and high water with me for nearly a year before the display went whacky. Well they quit making the Scoop so they replaced it with a Banter.
I love the phone itself…but had it replaced under warrantly already within the first week for the reasons mentioned above. It turns off in the middle of menu surfing or texting and froze up twice in the middle of texting. They replaced it…and couldn’t get the contacts to transfer off of it because it wouldn’t read. The new one has already cut off on me twice.
I, too, really like the phone. But those quirks are annoying so I hope they figure out how to fix it and replace it to those of us who already own the first string.
I too have went through 3 of these ohones in 2 weeks and every one of them powers down in the middle of texting.. very annoying. nice phone other than that!
i agree alltel hue is a piece of fucking shit!!! u cant even download ur own mp3s from sd card WHATS WITH THAT??? and mine is always cutting off by its self when ever i browse the web!!! though i love the price of the service 75 cents a day!!! I HOPE THEY WORK OUT THE QUIRKS!!!!
The phone freezes and restarts itself constantly and i cant access the mobile IM thinger anymore without it shutting off. I sometimes don’t get text til an hour later when i have full bars the whole time, and I’ve only had the phone for less than 2 weeks. I love the phone and the features it’s just annoying as heck.
I’m just about to get this phone and now I’m scared out of my mind. I had the scoop, and yes the problems were annoying and inconvenient but I could deal. These sound horrible, I don’t know what to do. I’d probably be better off paying 500$ for another phone or something.
had this phone for a month and had NO problems with it. i think it is a very good phone. it has NEVER shut off on me, runs several days before needing charged.
The Lg Banter is a piece of crap, I have only had it for like 2 months and everytime I slide the keyboard open the phone cuts off, and I have to take the battery out and put it back in for it to cut back on, anybody else have this problem? And if you have , did you get it fixed?
I have the lg scoop and it won’t play my ringtones when i get a call it plays the ones it comes with and in the middle of texting it shuts down or freezes up and sometimes it takes me forever to get a text.Don’t get a scoop get a banter i am
I’m new to texting so maybe this happens with all phones… When I’m typing a text, especially a long one, it will all of a sudden copy what I have just typed after the spot where I am typing. Then I have to go to the end of the text and hit ‘back’ repeatedly to delete it. There is no way to highlight a couple lines and delete in one click. Help!
