I’m not certain why we haven’t seen this before, but ThinkFlood has figured out a way of turning an ordinary iPhone into a Universal Remote. The kit that you see here costs about $188, and it has an infrared transmitter for controlling the television, stereo, DVD player, Blu-Ray, and much more. Now you will never lose the remote again, provided you keep your favorite Apple mobile device handy.

There’s a video of it after the jump if you want to see it for yourself. It might make a great holiday gift for the iPhone or iPod Touch addict in your family.
