Kyocera E5000 Phone at CTIA Wireless 2007
Kyoceras new E5000 look to be a sure fire hit, with 210 hours of standby time, and 3.5 hours of talk time, a GPS locater, Bluetooth, email, text, and Java support. This phone is a slim EV-DO design, with a first of its kind "S" hinge, and touch-sensitive external controls for the integrated music player and stereo Bluetooth capability. Also, a memory expansion slot to support up to 2GB of media storage.
Too bad the Kyocera E5000 can't beat the 4GB of storage of Verizons Phones coming this May. Also, the days of 1.3MP cameras are over, I want to see some 2+ MP cameras on phones. The "S" curve is pretty cool, though. It really fits the rounded edges and slick ergonomic key pad of the phone. It really sets the phone apart from the E1000 and M1000. The Chrome also adds a nice tough from the mat black or boring gray we see on phones now.
The phone will be available everywhere this fall, the price is not known at the moment, but I'm sure you will be paying a little extra for the "S" curve and chrome highlights.
