Kindle App (not the device) get multimedia capability

amazon.com-kindle-editions-with-audio-videoJust to let you know, this isn’t some new version of the Kindle that has video and audio capability.

This is simply an update for the App that appears on the Apple devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. So if you want the occasional audio or video file in with your e-book reading, you can have it if the particular e-book allows it.

This is really treading into the area of turning the Kindle app into a multimedia reader, and not just a reader. I can’t help but wonder what is going to come next.
