Kickstart, the first ever clamshell from RIM
This definitely is quite a departure from its usual all-business form factor for RIM. Our friends over at Boy Genius Report were able to snag some pictures of what is claimed to be the first ever clamshell phone from Research In Motion. Although the design is fairly reminiscent of the RAZR, the Kickstart carries the same SureType keypad as the Blackberry Pearl, trackball navigation, an unspecified camera, and houses both an internal and an external LCD screen. There are no hard facts about this mystery product yet, but according to BGR, this one may hit the streets in the third quarter of 2008. As always, we will keep you posted when that happens.
