First shown in November 2005 as a concept phone, the Media Skin cell phone is now a reality, and is available through KDDi in Japan.
Designed by Naruhito Yoshioka, this fashion phone makes up in style what it lacks in technology.

The phone comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microSD slot, and voice activated GPS with a cool 3-D interface. The Media Skin phone unfortunately does not have Bluetooth capabilities, and instead features a primitive infrared port.

The KDDi Media Skin phone measures 50ラ110ラ13.1mm, making it easy to slip into a pocket or other small places. The phone also has a 2.4-inch organic OLED supporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, which is protected from scratches with a protective tempured glass display. The surface of the phone has a soft, leather-like feeling. With the keypad cover closed, the KDDi Media Skin phone kind of looks like an iPod Nano without a click wheel.

The KDDI Media Skin is available in three colors (orange, white, & black) in Japan only.
