ISS Astronauts finally get an Internet Connection, and Tweet from SpaceBy Mark Rollins - 01/22/2010 4:01:05 PM |
I’m not certain what this astronaut it doing, but maybe he is surfing the net. Apparently, ISS astronauts have an “ultimate wireless connection” that allows them to surf the net from space, and one of them just did the first space Tweet. You can click on the Source for what the tweet looks like.
This new wireless network is called Crew Support LAN, and it can only be surfed when the ISS is transmitting data to the ground stations at high speed. So now the astronauts have email, IP telephone, and maybe access to Hulu.
