Remember when people were complaining about their laptop batteries spontaneously combusting? Well, it would appear that the iPod Touch battery is capable of the same ability.

Apparently, some kid at Pentucket Regional High School was trying to fix their iPod Touch, and was “rubbing wires against the battery, which became very hot, then exploded”. I suppose that there is a lesson to be learned here: don’t go futzing with your iPod like this.
