iPhone’s Secret Video-Out Feature Works

The video-out feature of iPhone 2.2 isn’t that secret anymore and it looks like it’s working. Sure you’d have to break some of Apple’s rules and iPhone SDK to uncover its mysteries but that’s just one of those sacrifices you’ll have to make. The Moto Chaser game in the video here is being displayed on a TV thanks to Ars Technica’s and Freeverse’s efforts to make that video-out feature work. It seems that the whole thing works in landscape mode only for now and it slows down all processors besides the faster one on the iPod touch second generation. So who knows what an iPhone will be able to do once Apple further exploits the video-out thing. Imagine adding a display and somekind of keyboard and you’ll end up with the smallest computer in the world!
