iPhone’s official launch in Australia

Although iPhone has rocked the entire world, talks are going on its official launch in Australia. SINGAPORE Telecommunications is trying to acquire exclusive iPhone selling rights. However, to know whether the Apple iPhone will work well or not on Australia phone networks watch out for this video.
As reported by Thai daily, the Bangkok Post, it is known that Optus, the Australian mobile operator, is dialoguing with Apple for Thailand launch of the iPhone. On the other hand, another paper informed that from over a past few months Thailand's leading mobile operator, Advanced Info Systems (AIS) has been hashing out on the marketing terminology, phone volumes, and business model partnerships with Apple.
Although Optus spokeswoman Melissa Clare refused to say anything regarding this, AIS chief marketing officer, Sanchai Thiewprasertkul, said that in the race of acquiring licensing, two more famous operators SingTel and Optus stand in the queue. However, SingTel spokesperson affirmed that they were in some discussions with Apple to launch the iPhone in Singapore.
China Mobile has closed its discussions after its disagreement on revenue-sharing model with Apple. While in Japan, Apple it is reported that Apple is conducting discussions with NTT DoCoMo and Softbank to launch the iPhone there.
Even if Apple is thinking about official launch of iPhone in Australia, but people have stated purchasing it from eBay and unlocking it to work it on local networks such as Telstra and Vodafone.
