iPhone unlocking software release date got delayed

The home-made software to unlock the iPhone was suppose to be released on Saturday (25 of August) at noon, but as expected there are “law” problems related to copyright infringement and illegal software.
The announcement was made by iPhoneUnlocking.com, in which they describe that hours before the launch of the software to unlock the iPhone, they received a phone call (at 2AM) from a law firm representing AT&T.
Certain issues that were described previously - copyright infringement and illegal software dissemination – were presented by the law firm, and therefore the iPhone unlocking software wasn't released to the public on Saturday. I guess that iPhone owners will have to wait a couple of more days to get rid of AT&T.
Until an assessment is made of the potential of legal action, Uniquephones is unable to release the unlocking software for sale. The company spokesperson also said that the company would also be evaluating what to eventually do with the software should they be legally denied the right to sell it. A substantial delay caused by any legal action would render the unlocking software a less valuable commodity as well as creating unforeseen security issues for the company.
