iPhone Shortage to Last 2-4 Weeks?By Chris - 07/20/2008 3:54:00 PM |

Well Apple what are you doing with all that iPhone plants? How’s the production going? What about the iPhone delivery guys? We heard Europe isn’t going to see any more iPhones until October. What about the rest of the world? What about your home base?
Gene Munster, Piper Jaffray & Co’s analyst says about the worldwide shortage:
I bet we’ll see these problems for another two to four weeks. Early demand has been more than they expected [because] they knocked it out of the park on the first weekend. This is a more sustained outage, and the demand seems to be sustained.
According to other sources, an AT&T internal memo, which was of course conveniently leaked, says that
workplace-related orders placed from Sunday the 13th onwards won’t be fulfilled for at least another 10 to 14 days.
I guess companies have every right to be pissed off for not getting the iPhones they were waiting for. An AT&T spokesman said that Apple and AT&T are working to deal with those shortages without giving out specific details. Of course they are saying that. What else can they say?
