OK, now this is really weird people. I mean sure there are some people desperately craving for an iPhone, especially the 3G version. But from there to actually start an Apple store line in New York a week before the July 11th release is really absurd. Go home, enjoy your life and get the iPhone when you get it.
10 or so people have been spotted waiting in front of the Apple store. They had supplies and chairs to make the wait more comfortable. Store security and personnel have checked with talked to them but apparently nothing changed.
Is the line for real? Are they trying to break a record? That’s the last rumor in apparently. Or is it all just marketing trick from Apple? I mean sure we’re going to see lines forming on July 11th but mainly because of the time needed to activate an iPhone in store. Unlike last year you won’t be able to purchase your iPhone fast and then leave. So what if it really rains? What if they get robbed by night? Waiting for future development here.
