iPhone is the Top Phone in the U.S.By Brian - 12/25/2009 2:11:51 PM |

The iPhone is without a doubt one of the most popular mobile phones anywhere today. And based on the number of mobile phone ownerships released by the Nielsen company, the iPhone is topping them all in the U.S. right now. About 4.0% of mobile phone owners have an iPhone while the RIM Blackberry 8300 Series is not far behind with 3.7%. With those numbers, Apple would do well not to take it easy.
Though it wasn’t mentioned, it is safe to assume that these numbers may have consolidated the iPhone 3G and 3GS in one product line. Regardless, the iPhone is still leading in preference but you can be sure that RIM will do everything in its power to try and whittle that lead, if not overcome it!
