Apple is making money for itself and others. By allowing 3rd party developers to submit applications Apple manages to provide fresh and diversified content to its users while making a profit. When talking about the success of Apple’s App Store Steve Jobs mentioned the 100 million application downloads so far. And with 8 million iPhones sold this year, and who knows how many iPod touch players, Apple has quite a large target .
No wonder people want to develop iPhone applications. Such a guy is Steve Demeter. He made a game called Trism. It’s not an original game, it’s not a complicated game, but it’s an original iPhone app. Trism regularly sell for $5. From that he keeps 70% and the rest goes to Apple. He managed to earn no less than $250,000 in two months. That’s quite remarkable isn’t it?
