appstoreThe approval process of an application to join the iPhone App Store has seemed to become faster, because after the iPad announcement they have added 10,000 applications – in only 16 days.

With that being said, the iPhone App Store now has over 27,000 books, more 28,000 games, and another few thousand applications which makes the total go up to 150,000. Taking in consideration the total, a research company named Distimo has concluded that 75% of those apps are paid, and the rest – 25% – are free.

It seems like the iPad announcement was a good move by Apple to boost their app store… right?
