iPhone 3GS prone to water damage?

Now, I’ve personally never tried dipping my iPhone 3G in water just to see what the outcome would be and I’m sure the above YouTube user, KhenaKara, didn’t intend to either with his iPhone 3GS.

From the looks of the video, the man was minding his own business filming some people floating in a pool when the device slipped out of his hand and sunk to the bottom of the pool. He think quickly proceeded to snag the iPhone presumably thinking the worst but upon discovering it’s still capturing video says in amazement, “wait, it still freakin’ works!”.

Remember folks, this is just one case of the iPhone 3GS surviving complete submersion in water. Do not try it at home, please.
