iPhone 3G sells out, AT&T takes preordersBy Dax - 07/12/2008 4:54:36 AM |
No surprise there. Apple‘s iPhone 3G is fast becoming a scarce commodity, and that’s just one day after it was let loose in the States. Many stores all over the country now claim to have sold all of their launch stock and AT&T is now taking preorders through a “direct fulfillment process” in anticipation of a shipment update from Apple. With this option, customers will have to pay for iPhone 3G in full and they can have their iPhone 3G in three to five days when the shipment arrives. Not a bad idea given the activation problems that AT&T had due to the extreme load the first day put on iTunes servers.
