iPhone 3G Comes Contract-Free in South AfricaBy Chris - 10/03/2008 8:03:26 AM |

Vodacom is the lucky carrier which sells the iPhone 3G in South Africa. The device will be available with special contracts and with prepaid plans.
The contract-free 8GB version will cost R6,389 or $761 while the 16GB will cost R7,569 or $888. Depending on what plan you get you might end up paying only from R1,799 or $211 to R2,189 or $257 for the 8GB version while the 16GB version will cost from R2,899 or $340 to R3,299 or $387 with a plan.
There are three plans available: 120s, 240 and 500s. Each of them comes with 100 free SMS and 250 MB of data traffic. The number of the plans tells you how many voice minutes are included. I don’t have to tell you that the data is not enough do I?
