The iPhone Dev Team is closer to unlocking the iPhone 3G. They have cracked the baseband which means the unlock we always wished for it’s coming.

Unfortunately we can’t say when the full unlock will arrive. The baseband will give you control of the phone’s telecomm via hacked code. A small step for iPhone Dev Team, a big step for all those people that want an unlocked device.
