Infinity unveiled their new, G37 Coupe, at the New York Auto show, setting new standards for style, performance and luxury. This second generation “G” coupe features a powerful 3.7 Liter, 330 Horse power V6 engine, with advanced 4-Wheel Active Steer system, and was named Car and Driver’s top 10 cars of 2007. The VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) system combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side to help improve performance and response, making the car red line at 7,500RPM.

Also included in the new G37, a ladder frame construction for greater rigidity, large crank journal and pin diameters, asymmetric piston skirts, twin knock sensors, an electronically controlled “drive-by-wire” throttle system, molybdenum coated lightweight pistons, Iridium spark plugs and a symmetric twin air intake system. Also, equal length exhaust manifolds and low muffler exhaust backpressure to help improve engine breathing. The car is available in 4 speed automatic, 5 speed manual, and a lightweight 6 speed manual transmission.

The car comes standard with 4-wheel vented discs with 4 channel, 4 sensor Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake force Distribution and Brake Assist. Also, while braking, the brake system identifies sudden braking situations with laser sensors to determine distance and relative speed of the vehicle ahead in the same lane and “pre-pressurizes” the Brake Assist system before the driver steps on the brake pedal.
