The Samsung Omnia II will soon be released at Verizon on December 2 for $200 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.
This should probably come as no surprise as the original was also with the big V, and so this Windows Mobile 6.5 will be in stiff competition with the Moto Droid.
Here’s a video of the Samsung Omnia II with AMOLED screen after the jump.

Forget that Twilight Flash Drive, here’s what you really want to plug into your USB port! Yes, it is the alien from Alien, and he is hungry when he gets plugged in.
In fact, at random times his head will light up with a red light, and his second mouth will come out. Just makes you want to say: “Get away from my computer, you b___h!” Well, maybe not.
It is available from the Geek Stuff 4 U website for about $72.89.

If that’s the real price of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 then the phone will definitely not be a success. The Xperia X10 is the first Android phone manufactured by Sony Ericsson and it also happens to be the current flagship phone of the company. So how come no U.S. carrier has announced the intention of offering it to its customers?
The Xperia X10 is rumored to arrive in stores in February 2010 and it’s expected to cost around $870. How much are you willing to pay for an Android phone? Wouldn’t you rather get the Droid Eris at $99.99 on contract instead?

HTC Hero owners have been promised that Android 2.0 is coming soon. But don’t get too excited, folks, as that update hasn’t arrived yet. In case you have noticed Sprint’s OTA update then rest assured it’s not the Éclair. In fact the new firmware that has been announced, version 1.56.651.2, will only fix a few bugs but it will not bring any Android 2.0 your way.
The firmware update is available for download right now and it will solve that SMS issue that causes battery usage while also offering a Daylight Saving Time fix. Just go to “System Update” on your Hero and get the update yourself.

LG could learn a thing or two about a Chocolate phone from the Sharp SH-04B. This phone, jointly made with Tokyo accessory maker Q-pot, is part of NTT Docomo’s new winter line, and it has some odd chocolate bar coating to complete the illusion of sweet candy.
It comes in a Melty Bitter brown or Melty Strawberry pink color, and features some “sweet” pre-installed chocolate-themed wallpapers, photo frames, and menus. It also has a 3-inch WVGA ASV screen, an 8MP CCD camera, Bluetooth, and a 1-seg digital TV tuner.
Just to let you know, this is not a candybar phone. It is a clamshell.

Sorry about that bad pun here, but it was just way too easy. This is a piece of software that allows the iPhone to blow, somehow.
I would have thought that this would be a hardware application, but it works. There’s a video of it after the jump in case you want to see it in action, with a turbine spinning on the screen to let you know that it is working.
