The Nokia N96 is closer than it seems. It will be soon available for purchase and it’s said to cost 550 Euro or about $792 USD. Considering that it will have a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 2.8 inch display and 16GB of memory, you’ll find the price to be reasonable enough. But there’s more. GPS and A-GPS, DVB-H mobile TV, WiFi and 3.5G connectivity and FM radio with RDS.

LG has a new music phone for Indian customers. The KP199 Dynamite is the model I am talking about. Besides music features it will get you some good battery life. But let me show you more of it’s specs!

This LG will sport a VGA camera with video recording, an MP3 player with FM radio, A2DP Bluetooth and 60MB of internal memory space upgradeable via microSD cards. There’s an FM radio alarm and an anti-theft mobile tracker. USB charging is also possible besides data transfer.

The phone will cost you just 4,390 Rupees in India or about $100. There’s no news on international pricing yet.

Sprint seems ready to release the HTC Touch Diamond. I am not exactly if they were ready to announce the date officially yet. But since the Wall Street Journal managed to write a whole review I guess Sprint felt obligated to confirm the Diamond official launch for the USA. (more…)

You’ve seen the box and now you need an official release of the BlackBerry Storm don’t you? Unfortunately there’s not such thing yet. But what we know is that people say that a rumor on the street says that the phone has entered technical acceptance. Therefore the Storm will be delayed from 6 to 8 weeks which means that a November release is likely to happen.

Targus has a new Bluetooth wireless mouse out in the works. The device was approved by the FCC and it should be on its way to the stores soon. For some reason, the user manual calls it the “Bluetooth Wireless Mouse for Mac”, confusing PC users into believing it won’t work with Windows - unless they don’t give you drivers for it.

Anyway, it runs on 2 AA batteries and needs to be paired with your Mac. The mouse features a touch scroll button for 4-way scrolling, as well as programmable buttons.

Not exactly the most portable devices, all-in-one PCs come in handy. They will save you some desk space and they will always be ready to go. Sony has launched three new all-in-one Vaio PCs which we’re going to inspect.

The Vaio JS, in the picture above, is a huge desktop. It has a 20.1 inch screen which has a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution. There’s a webcam above the screen and a speaker bar below. The Vaio JS has a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, 4GB of RAM, an integrated Intel GMA 4500HD graphics card, a 500GB and a standard DVD burner. The PC will cost around $1,000 if you’re interested.

The Vaio LS has a floating mirror design which resembles the Vaio LT19U. It has a 24 inch display which can deliver a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. Inside you will find either Blu-ray or regular drives, up to 1TB of hard drive space, and an HDMI input. Pricing starts at $1,600 depending on what you choose.

The last PC is Sony’s Vaio RT. It’s an even bigger model. It has a 25.5 inch LCD and inside it has an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, a 512MB GeForce 9600M GT graphics card and up to 1TB hard drive. A Blu-ray drive comes as standard and the RT has a pair of TV tuners and both HDMI in and out.

All models will feature WLAN and they will be available sometimes this fall. If you needed a new all-in-one, maybe it’s time to act and get a Vaio PC.

Despite the $1,300 pricing, a few lucky New Yorkers bought all the pre-sold BlackBerry Bold. BlackberryBusiness.com is the place to go if interested in an overpriced Bold. Too bad they don’t have any others left.

First of all, whatever happened to a Motorola Q10? Or are the guys over at Motorola counting only odd numbers for the Q? It seems the Q11 is a handset designed to follow the Q9.

It would appear that the Motorola Q11 will be based on the Motorola Alexander which we’ve seen already. Or are we to understand that the Alexander is actually the Q11. There aren’t any clear indications in either way so we definitely need some leaked info. I am sure there must be an unsatisfied Motorola employee somewhere close…

Sprint’s subscribers have been waiting for their XOHM forever now. The WiMAX based mobile broadband is getting ready to be launched but Sprint managed to leak more info. While waiting for their partnership with Clearwire to be approved, the carrier has started building up a XOHM Member website.

The site has details about the service and about the hardware. For example, the Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition is expected to arrive for Sprint XOHM customers. A XOHM USB modem, a XOHM expresscard modem, a wireless router with Ethernet hub and a XOHM portal are also mentioned.

No prices have been published yet so we’ll be waiting to see if this month is when the XOHM will appear.

Getting some internet on the go in Canada is easier than ever. Fido has added a new USB modem which will fit perfectly with your PC or Mac. The HSPA capable Novatel Ovation MC950D is the new USB modem model. It will give you up to 7.2Mbps download speeds and 2.1Mbps upload speeds.

This USB modem knows tri-band HSPA and quad-band EDGE so it will offer a connection almost anywhere a Fido signal is available. And since it has all the drivers and manuals for supported OS on the stick

Pricing is rumored to be around $49 but there’s no word on availability yet. Better check with Rogers too.

Steve Jobs wants to sell at least 10 million iPhones this year. With about 4 months to go, people are already counting handsets. A joint project between AFB and Investor Village’s Sanity board claims that Apple has already sold 8 million iPhones already.

The project counts IMEI numbers of every iPhone 3G already sold and records them on a spreadsheet. According to it 5,649,000 sold iPhone 3G have been counted. Adding to that the 2.4 million handsets already sold this year we get 8 million phones already.

2 million phones in 4 months… Can they do it?

Things appear to be better for the Xperia X1. Sony Ericsson has launched the SDK for it which means software creators out there can start inventing new Windows Mobile applications for the handset.

The SDK runs on visual studio so it will be quite easy for developers to start working on new apps. Testing them won’t require an actual Xperia X1 phone since all testing can be done straight on the PC where the handset is emulated.

The SDK release should suggest an official launch closing in soon. From what we know, Sony Ericsson has confirmed a Q4 release without suggesting any actual dates.

People say that Apple and China Mobile are almost finished with the negotiations regarding th iPhone 3G. There aren’t any official statements from any of the parties involved but it’s safe to presume Apple wants in the Chinese market as soon as possible.

How many China Mobile subscribers are going to pick up the device anyway? They can choose any iPhone clone for less money. The main concern is China Mobile’s 3G network which uses TD-SCDMA technology which isn’t compatible with the phone anyway.

We are in for a long wait for the Windows 7. Not that we’re so anxious to see the new OS from Microsoft but we’re going to be stuck in Vista for a while.

We don’t know that much about Windows 7’s features but we heard it’s rumored to boot faster than current Vista version. Microsoft is working on a boot sequence of 15 seconds or less for Windows 7. Hopefully they are working on what’s going to happen after those 15 seconds too.

The Customer Experience Improvement Program says that 35% of Vista SP1 systems boot in less than 30 seconds while the rest boot in under 50 seconds. Is that accurate? Doesn’t it take longer?

We don’t know why Sony Ericsson is having such a hard time controlling the leaks of almost every cell phone that it has under the wraps before the official announcement, but it sure gives an insight into what we can expect in the coming months from the Japanese-Swedish company. This time, it’s the Sony Ericsson G705 which decided to go public in July before Sony Ericsson could do anything about it. We don’t have anymore details apart from what we heard the last time; a 2.4-inch display, GPS, a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and an M2 expansion slot packaged in a slider configuration. Read on for a few more pictures…
