All eyes seem to be on the scheduled premier of Fast and Furious, the fourth installment of the Fast and the Furious flicks hence don’t be surprised if you see some games or apps come out in advance. I-play, Oberon Media’s publishing division and the world’s leading multi-platform casual games publisher, today announced the global launch of Fast & Furious for iPhone and iPod touch from the Apple App Store.
Developed in partnership with Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group, the new Fast & Furious iPhone game is the sixth title to be released in the #1 best-selling mobile racing franchise in the world. The Fast & Furious iPhone game closely follows the story line of the new blockbuster movie from Universal Pictures, which brings back the original cast of the first film and releases in theatres on April 3rd.
The Fast & Furious iPhone game utilizes several cutting edge iPhone technologies such as social network and connectivity features like uploading your fastest races to YouTube for inclusion in global leader boards and contests, site posts and race challenges to name a few. Features like the high resolution graphics, ultra responsive accelerometer based steering controls, and the wi-fi connected Pink Slip racing truly deliver the speed, grit and adrenaline kick that only white knuckle underground street racing can deliver.
