The iMo isn’t the first device that I have seen that can turn a flat surface into a speaker, and it probably won’t be the last.

The i-Mo Resonance MP3 Player has 2GB of internal storage, and will only work on a hard surface. It has a built-in MP3 Player, FM Radio, and it has a 5V DC power adapter.

You should be able to get it at the Chinavasion site for about $45.12.
