HTC XV6175 passes by the GCFBy Dax - 03/13/2009 6:01:10 AM |
The FCC and GCF have always been great sources to look up new cell phones that might have been kept under tight wraps by the mobile giants and it seems like we have one such device now from HTC, the XV6175. The XV should be a dead giveaway as to where the device will land up ultimately, with the XV prefix being used only by Verizon for all devices that’s HTC on their lineup. According to the GCF, the XV6175 is designed to work with GSM 850/900/1800/1900 network bands, but wait, isn’t Verizon a CDMA carrier? So, most probably what we are seeing is a worldphone that could cruise both the GSM and CDMA networks with equal ease. And with the leaked HTC lineup for 2009 already in our eager hands, the XV6175 could be narrowed down to three worldphone devices that were revealed in that handy list, the Whitestone W, HTC Twin, or the HTC Cedar, but we’ll stop our guesswork here and hope HTC will hurry up and announce it already!
