This year is a rather poor year for Android. Fans, developers, manufacturers and carriers have been waiting for Android devices to be ready this year but due to various problems that hasn’t happened yet. Most smartphone makers have postponed any Android devices to 2009 except for HTC and maybe T-Mobile.
HTC will ship their first Android handset as scheduled before. We’ll be waiting for Q4 2008 to see what they have created this time. They will
deliver the Android device to ODM clients. Well who is HTC designing for? Is it T-Mobile? What will the new device be called? Any specs beside the Android OS?
For now we only have HTC’s CFO Hui-ming Cheng assurance that everything is going as planned.

First Android phone from HTC should be the Dream in October 2008 for T-Mobile.
