It’s finally happened! The HD2 or Leo is now an official HTC phone. It has been confirmed by both Microsoft and, more importantly by HTC.
The HD2 is a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone which will bring you a confirmed 4.3-inch capacitive WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, Microsoft Exchange, proximity and light sensors and a Twitter application, HTC Peep.
The phone will be available in France from Orange this month with other European markets to follow soon. U.S. customers will see the HD2 only early next year so you’ll have to wait a while to get it. Official pricing for the HD2 hasn’t been announced yet. How much would you pay for it?

I must admit I almost lost hope in Windows Mobile but this one… this one is so impressive it’s few leagues higher than other WinMo phones.
I had a chance to use it for one night, and what a night it was… sigh…
Gigantic screen (WVGA with capacitive touch), amazingly fast, huge size but very thin.

Anyways, Windows Mobile needs few more of those, capacitive screen, great performance, completely customized UI, that will (maybe) minimize the damage until Windows Mobile 7 is released…
I’m from Sweden and I’ve had my HTC HD2 for more than one month now.
Do you know there was a special forum dedicated for our beloved phones, yes, it’s http://www.HTCHD2Forum.com.
The HTC Hd2 is my third HTC device and man it’s great! I knew it had twice the clock speed compared to my Diamond but could never imagine the difference to be that huge.
Anyway, I know a little bit about WM and can hopfully help people.
