13 Aug 08 HSBC to Order 200,000 iPhone 3G?

While we usually talk about handsets for the general public, we have now some news from the corporate world. HSBC which you might be familiar with from your banking sessions, is apparently considering the idea of getting Apple’s handset.

HSBC might order about 200,000 iPhones for its staff around the world. HSBC has about 300,000 employees around the world and it is reviewing the iPhone from a HSBC perspective. Such a move will mean switching from their current handset provider which is RIM to Apple.

A decision is yet to be taken so stick around for more news. It would be interesting to see how many of HSBC would like this BlackBerry to iPhone switch. And what about other large corporate businesses around the world? Are they also considering similar moves?
