HP seems ready to develop their iPAQ smartphone line and adapt it for the consumer model. The Wall Street Journal reports that a future device is going to be very useful to both consumers and corporate users. The phone will apparently come with a touchscreen and a keypad and it will run on Windows Mobile 6.1.
There are no details about the future model. We don’t know the actual arrival date and how much it will cost. We’d like to have a picture for it too (the iPAQ above is a 500 series), and it looks we might get one soon. The new iPAQ might be available in Europe sometime within the next two months or so, while the rest of the world would get it soon after.
