HP To Bypass Windows Phone 7, Stick With webOSBy Jeff Baker - 07/24/2010 1:32:14 PM |

With their recent acquisition of Palm, many have been led to believe that HP would focus solely on webOS powered devices like the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi. However, with the forthcoming launch of Windows Phone 7, many have wondered if HP will make the shift and produce hardware for both platforms in an attempt to reach a broader market.
Today, it seems that those rumors have been put to rest as HP has come forth to let us know that they will not be making any Windows Phone 7 devices, instead focusing just on webOS as previously though. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering HP paid a hefty sum of money for Palm with reports stating that they were more after the software than they were the hardware (the software being webOS).
Unfortunately, we’ve yet to see any webOS powered devices come from HP so I guess we’ll just be stuck waiting until then.
