HP Offering “Enviro” Batteries Starting Next Year

Bringing awesomeness to customers, HP laptops, beginning next year, will feature new cells by Boston Power – dubbed “Enviro” by HP – that will charge faster and last longer without degrading.

The computer manufacturer will be the first company to offer these batteries commercially as a custom BTO option early next year. The batteries, aside from being able to handle up to 1,000 cycles before starting to lose life, can be brought up to 80% charge in 30 minutes – which can be a lifesaver when you’re at the airport or some other place struggling to find a power outlet.

The batteries will cost $20-30 more than their current counterparts. Totally worth it.
