The new HP Mini 110 is a 10″ netbook has been reported by some to be “the company’s best netbook for consumers yet”. The Mini 110 earns points for its excellent keyboard and additional ports over the earlier generation Mini 1000. However it does lose praise for the awkward mouse buttons and the increased weight from the last gen model is disappointing.
The fact that HP has dropped the Mini 1000’s edge-to-edge glass display is also met with disapproval. On the up side, there is good use of some of the extra space as there are now three USB 2.0 ports and a standard VGA port. At $329, the Mini 110 is reasonably priced and if you tack on another $40 you can upgrade to the 6-cell battery (3 cell is standard).

In April 2009 I ordered a Mini HP 1000. I sent it back in May because I could never get it connected to my wireless connection or the internet. HP sent my Mini 1000 back to me 2 weeks later saying that they had reloaded my lap top and I would have no more problems. Well I don’t know what they did if anything but my Mini 1000 still will not connect to anything. HP admitted that the lap top was defective but told me that I couldn’t send it back for a refund or replacement. I have purchased over $7,000.00 in HP equipment over the last 7 years and this is how they treat you. I’ve given my last dime to these people.
its funny how u mention how u were sold a defective laptop.. i bought a 1100$ laptop 2 years ago from hp, only to find out the reason it wasn connecting to wireless internet.. was hey i guess it was defective? and even better, hp refused to do anything for me, last time i ever give them my business.
