HP has recently announced a 12.1 inch EliteBook convertible tablet with the 2740p tablet PC and a non-tablet version with the 2540p.
The 2740p has either a Core i5 or i7 processor, touch interface with included pen, and a reinforced glass screen. It weighs in at 3.8 pounds, and can do a choice of two batteries six-cell batteries.
As for the 2540p, it does not have the swivel screen, but is available with the Core i5 or i7 CPU and 7200rpm hard drive. Their batteries range from 3 to 9 cells.
You should be able to get these at the beginning of next month. The 2740p tablet should go for $1599, while the 2540p starts at $1099.
