How to stop the Android cursing filter

nexus-one-censorshpi-rm-engThe other day, we covered how Android 2.1 will censor swear words in its speech-to-text feature. If you really need to let a few cuss words out, I found out how to circumvent it.

All that is required from the swearer is to put “dotcom” after you swear. I’m not going to recommend this, and I believe that the swear filter has been put there to prevent unintentional profanities. According to my source, this way of avoiding this swear filter comes from author Neil Gaiman, creator of Sandman and author of Stardust.
