GPS phones have really been part of the news lately, and it seems like Hop-On Wireless from California doesn’t want to stay outside of the game, and therefore they are producing the Hop 1883.

The upcomig GPS phone is still on production mode, so there are no details about its price or release date. Anyway, the Hop 1883 will have a 2.8-inch QVGA screen that provides a 240×320 resolution, and also a 2-megapixel camera.

In terms of the GPS navigation features, the Hop comes enclosed with the popular receiver chip also known as SiRF Star III GPS, which will let owners track family members easily.

According to Hop-On Wireless, the mobile device is going to be cheap and has the normal tri-band specs – 900/1800/1900 MHz.
