HomeCell 2.0 Cell Phone Signal Booster Gets FCC Nod

How many times did you try to crack open a window, go upstairs or even onto the street to get a better reception on your cell phone? If the answer is more than one, you might want to consider the HomeCell. HomeCell is a bi-directional amplifier for boosting cellular signals in areas of poor coverage.

HomeCell 2.0 got the FCC nod recently. It is capable of performing in both 800MHz cellular and 1800MHz PCS bands. The packaging includes an outdoor antenna, 30-feet cable and an indoor antenna apart from HomeCell itself.

Note that this is not compatible with iDEN networks. No word on the pricing yet, although the website says it will be available at Home Depot in the US.
