Had this set for more than two weeks and still not able to get the cable card feature to work. Most of the channels pixilate terribly. Cablevision technicians have been to my house three times to no avail. SONY support has not been helpful at all. Set looks beautiful, but I will probably be returning it for a refund...

Finally had to exchange the KDL-V40XBR1 and fortunately the replacement actually works. The original had a cablecard problem (Q box?). I am using the cablecard, and the picture is absolutely awesome on the high def. channels and excellent on the analog and digital channels. Color is perfect. Big bucks, but definitely worth it.
