Samsung Electronics, unveiled new line of latest technology DVD/VHS combo players. Leading the pack is the DVD-V9650 combo player. We have already reviewed the two lower end models, DVD-V5650 and DVD-V8650. The DVD-V9650 is the top end model among the three. It is mainly targeted at the HDTV owners. As we all know about the HDTV boom that is going on in the market, the DVD-V9650 will defnitely send some vibes, as it has an additional player in VHS. Though one might question the wisdom of incorporating a VHS with a DVD, it still is a factor when it comes to buying.

The DVD-V9650 also has a black casing. The DVD-V9650 up-conversion DVD/VHS player combines the top-notch DVD and VCR playback and not to mention the incredible DVD's native resolution which is notched up a bit higher than other two models. It is also packed with a state-of-art hi-defnition conversion technology that converts a DVD resolution to output near HD formats such as 720p/1080i. Also HDMI, the interface which makes it easy to connect components. It also supports 10 in 2 multi card reader along with a progressive scan output.

The DVD-V9650 is also available in March 2006 at $129 MAP.
