NEC LT30 Fully Automatic Projector

NEC LT30 Fully Automatic ProjectorNEC announced the LT30, the world's first automatic projector in a compact form factor. Brightness is excellent and comparable to a larger projector. The unique feature, of course, is that almost all the functions are automatic, including focus, keystone correction, start-up, AutoSense and cool down.

With conventional projectors, you have manual focus to get picture quality. Not anymore, says NEC. Thanks to a tiny distance sensor in the front of the projector, it focuses automatically for the sharpest image. And if it is placed at a steep angle from the horizontal, it recognizes and corrects the image producing a perfectly square image.

The NEC LT30 also provides built-in sensors to protect lamp burnout. Rated brightness is 2,600 lumens and produces XGA (1024x768) resolution pictures.

Costing US $1,795, the NEC LT30 is available in the US and more information is available from NEC's website.
