Ambilight Full Surround technology headlines the 2006 Philips FlatTV lineup : Home Theater

2006 CES saw Philips unveil its new Ambilight FlatTV display. The Ambilight Full Surround features a dramatic color effect on all sides of the screen. Apart from thr Ambilight 4-sided model, Philips also introduced a 3-sided model.

Their lineup includes models from 37" to 50", delivering a cinematic experience. An industry first, the Ambilight achieves dynamic lighting effects on all sides of the display, and the new design surrounds the entire display with an integrated canvas making the screen appear as if it's floating when hung on a wall.

A true cinematic experience can be experienced by even relaxing a viewer's vision. The included Pixel Plus 3HD technology enhances content from various sources including DVD or high-definition content. The Ambilight 2 Channel stereo lighting enhances viewing pleasure through independent colors. It features increased light output and new software that delivers a strong match between the colors on the screen and the light displayed throughout the room.
